Accounting & Payroll Assistant

The Group is seeking an Accounting & Payroll Assistant for a position based in the northern suburbs of Attica.

Role Purpose

The successful candidate will provide accounting and administrative support for a specific project, handling the relevant accounting entries, invoicing, reconciliations, and payroll monitoring activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and review submissions through the ERGANI Information System, including employee hiring declarations, contract terminations, work schedule submissions, and working-hour amendments.
  • Calculate and process payroll.
  • Conduct weekly reviews of digital work schedules and manage timekeeping records and the Digital Work Card system.
  • Submit employee leave records and annual personnel statements, record sick leave, and manage salary advances.
  • Communicate with all relevant managers regarding payroll-related matters.
  • Record purchase invoices, expenses, and other accounting entries related to the project.
  • Issue invoices or support the customer and partner invoicing process, in accordance with the project’s requirements.
  • Maintain organized records of invoices, contracts, and other supporting documentation.
  • Monitor outstanding tasks and deadlines related to the project’s accounting and payroll activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Five years of professional experience in accounting, invoicing, bookkeeping, and/or payroll support.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience using ERP systems, preferably Entersoft and/or Pylon Payroll.
  • Knowledge of fundamental accounting principles and a good understanding of payroll procedures, employee leave management, and the Digital Work Card system.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
