GEFSINUS’s commitment to quality and safety

On the occasion of World Food Safety Day, GEFSINUS highlights its long-standing commitment to providing safe, high-quality, and nutritionally valuable meals every day to thousands of people across Greece.

For the GEFSINUS Group, food safety is not merely a regulatory obligation. It is a fundamental value and an integral part of our corporate philosophy, guiding every stage of our operations—from the selection of raw materials to the delivery of the final meal.

Our commitment begins with the careful selection of certified and approved suppliers, who are systematically evaluated based on strict quality and safety criteria. Through long-term partnerships of trust with Greek producers and suppliers, we ensure that all raw materials entering our facilities meet the highest standards.

At the same time, the company’s specialized Food Quality and Safety scientific team conducts daily inspections and controls at all stages of the production process. Food Technologists, a Chemist, a Nutritionist–Dietitian, and an Agronomist work together to implement an integrated management system that ensures the quality, traceability, and safety of every product.

In the company’s modern production facilities, strict food safety management systems based on HACCP principles are implemented, along with a wide range of programs including microbiological and physicochemical analyses, environmental monitoring, cleaning and disinfection programs, integrated pest management, recall procedures, and full traceability systems.

The Group’s investment in technology and innovation is also significant. Through advanced monitoring systems, automated processes, and modern production equipment, GEFSINUS ensures real-time control of critical parameters, enhancing the stability, reliability, and consistency of its production process.

However, safety does not end with production. The company’s modern fleet of refrigerated vehicles, equipped with certified cooling and temperature recording systems, ensures the preservation of meal quality and safety throughout transport and distribution. At the same time, the company’s workforce receives continuous training in hygiene, food safety, and best operational practices, further strengthening the culture of quality that defines the Group.

On the occasion of World Food Safety Day, GEFSINUS reaffirms its commitment to investing in people, technology, and processes that ensure the highest level of quality and safety, and to providing the best, highest-quality, and safest culinary experience every day.

Because for us, behind every meal delivered to the consumer, there is a fully integrated system working daily with responsibility, consistency, and respect for people.

Food safety is not just a process. It is our promise to every customer, every partner, and every consumer who places their trust in us every day.
